The
IUCN/SSC Canid Specialist Group
The World Conservation Union (IUCN)/ Species Survival Commission (SSC) are
committed to communicating important species conservation information to natural
resource managers, decision makers and others whose actions affect the conservation
of biodiversity. The IUCN/SSC Canid Specialist Group produced the Lycaon Action
Plan, a status survey and conservation action plan for African wild dogs. The
plan represents a compilation of many years of research on wild dogs and outlines
conservation and management priorities for the species. The African Wild Dog
action plan is available from IUCN Publications Services Unit (http://www.iucn.org)
and from the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit, Oxford University, UK.
